Janessa, a New Hampshire native, completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science at the University of Montana in Missoula. Shen then went on to complete her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Missouri State University. She returned home to New England to pursue her career at Mansfield Orthopaedics at Copley Hospital. Janessa is board certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

Janessa sees patients with a focus on upper extremity pathology and also serves as first assistant to orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Joseph McLaughlin in the operating room.
