Your Healthcare Team | |  Your healthcare team at Mansfield Orthopaedics includes many more people in addition to your physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner. Other healthcare professionals and our friendly, responsive staff is here to assist you, from scheduling appointment to answering your questions.
You will work directly with one of our medical assistants. They will be a key source of support during your care. Your medical Assistant works closely with your provider, assisting with procedures such as casting, splinting, bracing, injections, wound care and suture removal. In addition they provide follow-up assistance and information if needed at the end of each visit. These professionals are familiar with your medical record and can help facilitate care as well as respond to your needs.
Medical assistants help ensure good communication between you and your provider, relaying information regarding medical questions, medications, complications, cast care and post-operative care. They also will respond to phone messages and help communicate with pharmacies, the laboratory and other service providers to streamline your care.
Other Health Care Professionals
Other health care professionals may be involved with your care at Mansfield Orthopaedics. You may receive assistance from Physical and/or Occupational Rehabilitation Therapists along with technologists in our Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging Department and technicians in Laboratory Services.
Patient and Family Services
Copley Hospital has dedicated social workers trained to help patients and family members deal with financial, social and emotional problems that may relate to an orthopedic condition or hospitalization. Our staff will work with you, your family, and your physician to evaluate your individual needs and provide resources to help you deal with long-term illnesses and rehabilitation. Other Personnel
There are many behind-the-scenes workers, such as engineers, administrative assistants, accountants, maintenance and others who contribute toward your comfort and care. We do our best to make you and your family as comfortable as possible.
